Four Areas of Old National Highway have been Identified for Improvement

Old National Highway in the City of South Fulton is under the spotlight as local leaders work to revitalize one of the area’s most distressed corridors. At a recent town hall, residents voiced concerns about crime, blight, and infrastructure. In response, South Fulton Economic Development Director Artie Jones announced that four key sites along the corridor have been targeted for improvement through the Livable Centers Initiative.

“Old National Highway at one point had its heyday,” Jones noted. “It was the place to be.” Plans now include a 14-acre park and a new multi-million-dollar police headquarters at the former Jackson’s Music Store site.
